The Noretet Community Medical Camp was successfully held on 17th December 2025 at Noretet as part of a community health outreach initiative aimed at improving access to basic healthcare services.
The medical camp was organized and implemented by Volunteers Network of Kenya (VONEK) in partnership with The Good Doctor Dental Practice, with the goal of providing timely and accessible medical care to underserved community members.
The initiative was designed as a humanitarian intervention and served as a meaningful Christmas
gift to the Noretet community, bringing hope, care, and relief during the festive season.
OBJECTIVES OF THE MEDICAL CAMP
The primary objective of the medical camp was to provide free medical consultation and treatment to community members while promoting preventive healthcare and early diagnosis of common illnesses. Through this initiative, VONEK and The Good Doctor Dental Practice sought to address immediate health needs, improve health awareness, and strengthen community resilience by ensuring that vulnerable populations could access essential healthcare services without financial barriers.
COMMUNITY TURNOUT & BENEFICIARIES
The medical camp recorded a strong community turnout, with a total of 176 community members receiving medical attention during the exercise. Beneficiaries included men, women, children, and elderly persons from the Noretet community, demonstrating the inclusive nature of the outreach. The high participation underscored both the existing healthcare needs in the area and the trust placed in the organizing partners by the community.
MEDICAL SERVICES PROVIDED
Medical services provided during the camp included general consultations, diagnosis and treatment of common ailments, basic health advice, and the dispensing of prescribed medication. The services were delivered in a professional and organized manner, ensuring that patients received appropriate care in a safe and supportive environment.
